What to know about the flight from Jacksonville to San Antonio that was canceled last week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.

— A Southwest Airlines flight from New York to Jacksonville, Florida was canceled over safety concerns on Friday.

The flight was scheduled to leave at 10:10 p.m.

ET and arrive in Jacksonville at 10 p.d.

The plane was supposed to take off from JFK International Airport in New York at 12:30 a.m., but the flight was delayed because of the weather, according to the airline.

Southwest confirmed that the flight had been canceled because of weather and that no passengers had boarded.

The airport is closed for the holiday weekend and Southwest has issued an advisory for people to check in at the airport.

Southwestern says passengers should check in on a personal basis at the gate.
